so I’m watching this birdbox movie & I’m fucking pissed. why tf out of a group of like 10 people are the first two to die the one asian person & one of the two black people??? does hollywood think they’re slick cause they literally always pull this shit if theres a person of color they always die first statistically this makes no sense if theres 10 people in a group and only 3 of them aren’t white how likely is it that the first 2 to die randomly are both poc???🙄

same I was excited when I saw lil rel howrey and he dies not even halfway into the movie UNNECESSARILY. like he literally tackles that guy and ends up in the room with him when he could have gave him a good shove or even just punched him in the face which would have allowed them to close the door🤦🏾♀️
also not a fan of the “criminally insane” being immune to the suicidal effects of seeing the creatures and instead attacking people to expose them to the creatures. even just that wording rubs me the wrong way because it demonizes mentally ill people as if they’re a threat just by being mentally ill🙃

Any time somebody says your writing is unrealistic or full of major plot points you just pulled out of your ass, just remember that in the middle of one of the messiest and most agonizing wars in human history at one point all the wounded soldiers just started glowing blue and failing to die.
